하늘에 떠 있는 다이아몬드 반지

 

 

 

 

수요일 아침 호주에 많은 기대를 받은 개기일식이 진행되는 동안 검은 해가 퀸즈랜드 상공에 걸려 있다.  

북부해변을 따라 들어찬 폭풍 구름이 이 광경을 볼 수 없게 만들 것 같았지만 불과 수 분 전에 이 구름들은 뿔뿔이 흩어졌다. 

 

태양의 직사광선이 달의 모서리를 통과하여 흐르는 것이 지속되는 동안 케언스와 포트 더글라스 사이에 위치한 엘리스 비치에서 바라본 하늘에 

화려한 다이아몬드 반지 효과를 만들어냈다.  

그러나 이 다이아몬드 반지 효과는 더 이상 지속되지 않고 순간 사라졌다. 

 

달그림자가 호주 그레이트 베리어 리프로 향하는 해변을 휩쓸고 남태평양으로 사라지는 사이 약 2분동안 이 지역은 어둠에 잠겼다. 

 

1/4000 초에서  1/15초 영역의 노출을 사용하여, 각각 다섯장의 사진을 촬영한 후 이를 합성하여 만들어낸 이 사진은

개기일식의 장관을 눈으로 직접 보는듯한 느낌과 비슷하게 만들어졌다.

Like a Diamond in the Sky

Explanation: A dark Sun hung over Queensland, Australia on Wednesday morning during a much anticipated total solar eclipse. Storm clouds threatened to spoil the view along the northern coast, but minutes before totality the clouds parted. Streaming past the Moon's edge, the last direct rays of sunlight produced a gorgeous diamond ring effect in this scene from Ellis Beach between Cairns and Port Douglas. Winking out in a moment, the diamond didn't last forever though. The area was plunged into darkness for nearly 2 minutes as theMoon's shadow swept off shore toward Australia's Great Barrier Reef and out into the southern Pacific. Ranging from 1/4000 to 1/15 seconds long, five separate exposures were blended in the image to create a presentation similar to the breathtaking visual experience of the eclipse.
