화성에서 바라본 일식

 

 

 

화성의 두 개의 달 중에 규모가 큰 달인 포보스로 인해 발생하는 일식이 10장의 파노라마 사진을 연결시킨 이 사진에 담겨있다. 

 

이 사진이 촬영된 때는 2012년 9월 20일로 오퍼튜니티 호가 화성탐사를 시작한지 3078화성일만이었다.

Phobos, the larger of Mars' two moons, transits in front of the sun in this sequence of 10 images taken by the panoramic camera (Pancam) of NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity during the afternoon of the rover's 3,078th Martian day, or sol (Sept. 20, 2012). The apparent speed of the transit is accelerated in this clip.
