부에노스 아이래스의 부분일식

태양 위쪽에 무슨 일이 일어나고 있는 것일까?

지난 중 지구 남반구 일부에서 달이 태양의 일부를 가리는 부분일식을 볼 수 있었다.

 

이 사진은 우루과이 해안에서 아르헨티나 부에노스 아이레스를 바라보면서 부분일식의 마지막 단계를 담아낸 것이다.

앞쪽으로는 파라론 섬에 우뚝선 등대가 보이고 태양의 왼쪽으로 비행기가 보인다.

 

이 사진은 동일하게 세팅한 두 개의 동종 카메라가 연속적으로 촬영한 두 장의 사진을 합성한 것으로 카메라 하나는 풍경을 촬영하고 다른 하나는 태양을 촬영하였다. 

 

다음 일식은 7월 중순의 부분일식으로서 타스매니아를 포함한 호주 남부 일부에서 관측할 수 있다.

A Partial Solar Eclipse over Buenos Aires

Explanation: What's happened to top of the Sun? Last week, parts of Earth's southern hemisphere were treated to a partial solar eclipse, where the Moon blocks out part of the Sun. The featured image was taken toward the end of the eclipse from the coast of Uruguay overlooking Argentina's Buenos Aires. Light-house adorned Farallón Islandis seen in the foreground, and a plane is visible just to the left of the Sun. The image is actually a digital combination of two consecutive exposures taken with the same camera using the same settings -- one taken of the landscape and another of the background Sun. The next solar eclipse visible on Earth will be another partial eclipse occurring in mid-July and visible from parts of southern Australia including Tasmania.
