노르웨이에서 촬영된 오로라와 유성

 

 

 

산 뒤에서 무슨 일이 벌어지고 있는 것일까?

사진에는 다양한 하늘의 장관이 융합되어 나타나고 있다.  

 

9월 중순 노르웨이 트롬쇠 부근의 어느날 밤, 높은 하늘에 나타나는 붉은 색 오로라가 낮은 하늘의 초록색 오로라와 뒤섞여 어느 정도 비범해 보이는 보라색 빛을 뿜어내면서 멋진 풍광을 만들어냈다. 

심지어 천체사진가가 이 장면을 담아내는 동안 작은 조약돌 크기의 유성이 지구대기에 부딪히면서 밝은 섬광도 함께 연출되었다.  

 

멀리 린젠 알프스의 오테르틴덴이라고 알려진 봉우리가 밝게 빛을 내고 있다. 

오테르틴덴 산 뒤 편으로 사라지고 있고 밝은 유성은 전면에 보이는 시그날엘바 강에 반사되고 있다. 

비록 오로라나 밝은 유성을 함께 목격하는것은 대단히 운좋은 일이라고 생각이 될테지만, 이 두가지가 한 사진에 담겨진 경우는 이전에도 몇 번 있었던 일이다.

Aurora and Fireball Over Norway

Explanation: What's happening behind that mountain? A convergence of variable sky spectacles. one night in mid-September nearTromsø, Norway, high red aurora could be seen shimmering through lower green aurora in a way that created a striking and somewhat unusual violet glow. Suddenly, though, the sky flashed with the brightest fireball the astrophotographer had ever seen, as a small pebble from outer space violently crashed into the Earth's atmosphere. The glow illuminated the distant mountain peak known as Otertinden of the Lyngen Alps. The bright meteor, which coincidently disappeared behind the same mountain, was also reflected in the foreground Signalelva River. Although you might consider yourself lucky to see either an aurora or a bright meteor, pictures of them together havebeen recorded several times previously.
