달이 뜨는 걸 본적이 있으신가요?

 

보름달이 청명한 지평선 위로 서서히 떠오르는 모습은 대단히 인상적인 풍경을 만들어 낸답니다. 

그 인상적인 장면이 2013년 초 뉴질렌드 웰링톤(Wellington)에서 바라본 빅토리아산(Mount Victoria) 위로 펼쳐졌습니다.

 

세심한 계획을 세운 부지런한 천체사진작가가가 곧 달이 떠오를 지점을 정확히 예측하고 2킬로미터 거리에 카메라를 설치하여 밤하늘에 데뷔하는 달을 촬영해 낸 것이죠.

이 사진은 실제 달이 떠오르는 장면을 한 컷으로 담아낸 동영상으로 일체 시간 압축을 하지 않은 영상입니다.

 

지구의 가장 큰 위성이 만들어내는 여명에 도취된 사람들의 그림자가 빅토리아 산 위에 보입니다.

 

달이 떠오르는 것을 보는 것은 전혀 어렵지 않습니다.

비록 30분 정도에 지나지 않지만 달은 매일매일 떠오르고 있습니다. 

 

달은 매일 전날보다 50분 늦게 떠오르며 보름달은 해가 지면 바로 떠오른답니다.

 

오늘밤은 보름달을 보기 좋은 때입니다. 

오늘 뜨는 보름달은 상대적으로 지구와 가까이 있는 보름달로서 슈퍼문이라는 이름으로 불립니다. 

따라서 오늘 보름달은 평소보다 약간 더 크고 더 밝게 보일 것입니다.

Explanation: Have you ever watched the Moon rise? The slow rise of a nearly full moon over a clear horizon can be an impressive sight. one impressive moonrise was imaged in early 2013 over Mount Victoria Lookout in Wellington, New Zealand. With detailed planning, an industrious astrophotographer placed a camera about two kilometers away and pointed it across the lookout to where the Moon would surely soon be making its nightly debut. The featured single shot sequence is unedited and shown in real time -- it is not a time lapse. People on Mount Victoria Lookout can be seen in silhouette themselves admiring the dawn of Earth's largest satellite. Seeing a moonrise yourself is not difficult: it happens every day, although only half the time at night. Each day the Moon rises about fifty minutes later than the previous day, with a full moon always rising at sunset. A good time to see a full moonrise will occur tonight at sunset as the Moon's relative closeness to Earth during a full phase -- called asupermoon -- will cause it to appear slightly larger and brighter than usual.
